How to Choose Your Intermediate Subjects?

If you ask any class 10 student about their future goals, you will end up getting confusing answers. This doesn’t mean that they are not ambitious, it’s just that there are too many lucrative career options these days and students need guidance from their parents and teachers to choose the right path. Choosing what to study after 10th standard is a critical and career-defining decision. Therefore, it is important that students start exploring their options without postponing it until the last-minute so that they can make an informed and calculated decision.

There are numerous interesting options depending on what you want to pursue ultimately like science, engineering, medical, mass communication, law, arts, etc. For example, if the student wants to pursue career in law, then they should opt for commerce courses in Intermediate. Likewise, to become a doctor, student should opt for BiPC in Intermediate. Deciding which course to take in Intermediate is not as simple as it sounds, because of the numerous career options available post Intermediate. However, here are a few questions, each student can ask themselves to help them decide their specialization.

  3. What exams should the students take to study this course? Usually, students need to pass 10th standard with flying colors to enroll in Intermediate. However, after Intermediate they might need to clear exams in accordance with their career choice. It is always best to look out for the junior colleges that train students for these exams.
  4. What are the job opportunities available after pursuing the course? Last but not the least, everyone should look out for the job opportunities for their chosen career. They should also enquire about the placement opportunities and pay packages. Some colleges offer campus placements during the last semester and securing admission in such colleges will give them an edge in get job upon completion.
